Ambassador of the „School without violence” Program

Polish athlete, shot-putter, Olympic champion in Beijing 2008

Born August 30, 1981 in Nasielsk, lived in Ciechanów where he finished high school. Graduate of the Department of History and Social Sciences at the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw .

Started training shot-putting at age 15 and began achieving competitive success 4 years later.

His greatest achievements include:

• first place and gold medal in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games
• first place in the 2009 European Athletics Indoor Championship in Torino
• bronze medal in the 2008 World Indoor Championships in Valencia

Tomasz Majewski is a seven time Polish champion (2002-2005, 2007-2009) and five time indoor Polish champion (2004-2006,2008-2009).

Privately, Mr. Majewski resides in Słończew and is fan of basketball and reading, primarily science-fiction and fantasy novels, in particular by Jacek Dukaj.

His motto is: "ALWAYS FORWARD TO THE GOAL!"
