4th edition of Program

Among the new activities planned for the school year 2009/2010 are :

Volunteer project contest - schools that apply to the fourth edition of the Program will be invited to a contest of volunteer projects. The prize for the students will be a summer camp called the Volunteer Leader Summer School, and teachers will receive financing for selected training programs.

Volunteer week - schools will present their local volunteer activities

Opinion poll - a study focused on parents of schoolchildren, concerning violence in schools, the quality of care and tutoring in schools and volunteering. Results will be presented in the end of September this year.

International conference - presentation of European good practices on counteracting and preventing school violence during the European Congress on Counteracting Violence in 2010 in Warsaw .

2010 Report - a report covering, among other things, sociological findings concerning school violence and aggression, as well as examples of good European practices.

The new edition will also continue activities from previous years :

Best tutor contest - in each region, students and parents will vote for the best tutor of 2010

Regional workshops – four cities ( Gdańsk , Białystok , Katowice , Gorzów Wielkopolski ) will hold two-day workshops for teachers, to prepare them to effectively resolve violence related problems in schools.

School day without violence – June 5, 2010 – a national celebration day for those who want safe and friendly schools
